My sister and I discovered Victorian Choice through the recommendation of another costume aficionado, and within minutes we had each found our dream Victorian dresses. She received her dress first, and we couldn’t believe the impeccable quality of the garment. We’re so excited to wear our gowns to the Dickens Festival!

We buy costumes from here because of the quality. Multiple dress rehearsals plus 4 weekends of performances put a lot of wear and tear on a costume. You can’t cheap out. You don’t want to be constantly repairing or risking a tear, no matter how cheap it was. Pay for good quality and you won’t be sorry.
In a world full of black and white, be the pop of red🔥Here’s the stunning @nicholeobduro stealing the spotlight in our vintage Edwardian-style red blazer. #VCStyleC031

🌸🌼🌸Who is ready for a G I V E A W A Y?! In our previous post, we let our fabulous followers vote on which dress should be featured in the March giveaway. It was a super close race, but the Georgian dress in satin with wide black lace overlay received 43 votes, compared to 37 votes for the Edwardian riding habit. This dress is incredibly versatile and can be worn for a variety of occasions. Our customers have worn it to Renaissance Fairs, Comic Cons, costume parties, Goth/Steampunk events, and more. The possibilities for creativity are endless.

Thanks to @_jade_marie_davis_ and @jmp859 for staying unique and being different. A petticoat is typically worn discreetly beneath a ball gown, providing volume to the dress. This captivating image unveils an unexpected and delightful twist, as the petticoat playfully peeks out from beneath the skirt, resulting in a vibrant and enchanting look that I had never anticipated before 💃🏻😍#VCGownStyle061
A scenic and relaxing vintage train ride. Gorgeous Totty is getting ready to board the 5th Annual Western Train in Texas. She is giving our best-selling gown, #VCGownStyle138, all the retro vibes.

Our dresses are often used on stage, in front of cameras, and at special events. But seeing them depicted in oil paintings on canvas is truly something special🥰💃🏻
The painting “Opening”, 30”x36” by talented portrait artist, Deborah Macy, with Victorian Choice dress as costume prop, and Deborah’s step daughter Alicia Willbanks as model, was exhibited at The Salamagundi Club on Fifth Avenue in New York, as part of the CLWAC 124th Exhibition. It was also showcased online at The Cape Cod Art Center Regional Exhibit👏🌸

Help me choose my outfit for the annual Troy Victorian Stroll today ❄️ Drop a ‘💙’ for option 1 or a ‘🖤’ for 2!
Every December Troy, NY (the filming location of @gildedagehbo) comes to life in the spirit of the holidays. This year marks the 40th year tradition. The activities range from people dressed in Victorian period attire, live musical performances, themed window displayed, shopping, light show called the Troy Glow and more! I’m most excited for the Holiday Greens Show at the Hart Cluett Museum. At this year’s event, 13 rooms in the historic museum will be decorated with holiday displays inspired by the Gilded Age. There will be fresh, seasonal greens, flowers, and more. This will be my first year in attendance! So help me choose! One is comfy and warm but more Edwardian. Two is a little big on me but very period accurate! 🫶🏻

Warm, sunny days should be spent at a park, under a tree, with a good book. @_goblinqueen_’s photo inspired me to put down my phone, grab a book and go find that most tranquil spot in my neighborhood park. But, let me share this photo first…

Gorgeous time-traveler, @sp00kshowbabe, dressed as an 18-century woman when visiting @pabstmansionmke, a grand Flemish Renaissance Revival-styled house built in 1892 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for Captain Frederick Pabst. I can’t stop wondering when was the last time someone wore such an outfit in this place. If you are like me, enjoy visiting the past, pack a piece of our vintage dresses when visiting historic locations and events. This is the way to experience the past.
